How to Add eSIM (Android/iPhone)

A:

Adding an eSIM generally requires being in Wi-Fi environment with airplane mode turned off. If these conditions are not met, you may not be able to add the eSIM.
 
 1. Method Using QR Code:
 the QR code is attached in the email from us. When adding the eSIM from ""Settings,"" open the camera and scan the QR code to add the eSIM to your device.
 
 2. Manual Input Method:
 SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code: On iPhones and some Android devices, you can add the eSIM using these two codes. The manual input SM-DP+ address and activation code are listed below the QR code in the email. If you don’t have a device to display the QR code or cannot scan it, manually enter these codes. 
*Note: The SM-DP+ address is not a website URL and cannot be accessed via a browser. Make sure not to include parts like ""http://"" when entering it.
 
 LPA:1$ Code: Some Android devices can use the LPA code to add the eSIM. This code is also listed below the SM-DP+ address and activation code. The link within the code is not an accessible URL and will not display anything if accessed.
 
 3. For T-Mobile eSIM: 

T-Mobile eSIMs can be added directly to your device by providing the EID and IMEI (for available SIM) to the carrier. You will receive a notification when it is added.

Haven’t received the email

A:

Please check if you have received an email sent from "service@almondsim.com."

If you can't find it, please check your spam folder, or contact our customer support

"Cannot activate" - Unable to add to the phone

A:

If "Cannot activate" is displayed when scanning the QR code:

In this case, the eSIM may have been added successfully. Please check if a new network appears on your device. If it still does not appear, restart your device, reconnect to Wi-Fi, and try adding the eSIM again.


If the status changes from "Activating…" to "Activation failed":

In general, domestic devices cannot use international networks, so it is normal to initially see "Activating…" followed by "Activation failed." Please do not worry about this.


If you are concerned that the eSIM might activate earlier than expected, please turn off our network after seeing "Activation failed." 

Once you arrive at your destination, switch to our network and then enable data roaming within the network; the eSIM should be usable.

Before Departure: in domestic , you generally cannot use foreign networks, so initially, you will see "Activating..." followed by "Activation failed." This is normal, so please don’t worry.

If you're concerned that the eSIM might activate earlier than expected, please turn off our network after you see "Activation failed." Once you arrive at your destination, switch to our network and then enable data roaming; it should generally work.


After Arrival: Turn off airplane mode, and activation should complete within a few minutes. If it doesn’t complete after a few minutes, please restart your device.
